  • Ray Blazina and Bobby Sherlock smooched passionately for 130 hours and 2 minutes within a period of 1-6 May in 1978.
  • John Barrymore planted 127 kisses on Estelle Taylor and Mary Astor in a single 1927 movie, “Don Juan”.
  • The record for the longest underwater kiss lasted for 2 minutes and 18 seconds and occurred in Tokyo, Japan.

  • A kiss lasting for one minute burns 26 calories. A quick French kiss obliterates 5 calories as compared to other romantic kisses that burn 2-3 calories. A one hour session of kissing can burn more than 600 calories, much more than jogging.
  • Kissing helps in preventing wrinkles as it leads to 9 facial muscles getting exercised. More than 34 muscles are exercised during a passionate kiss.
  • The neurotransmitters that are released during kissing are the same ones that get released during parachuting, distance running and bungee jumping. This increases your breathing capacity as well as heart rate.
  • Kissing helps in relieving headaches, reducing stress levels, reducing skin rashes, blemishes and dermatitis. It also helps in keeping the mouth clean as saliva production gets increased due to kissing.
